Consider Sharing the Boat You Only Use less than 5% of the Year with Others . I'm not talking about pure charity, but about co-ownership. Multiple owners. And yes, an agreement to try to allow the less fortunate to learn how to operate a boat, water ski, have fun being pulled on an inner tube, etc. Let's face it. Owning a boat is 95% prestige factor. To say, casually, making sure not to sound like your bragging, to your friends or co-workers, "Yeah we go out on our boats on the weekends ..." . Why not add to that humble brag that you are helping less fortunate learn how to operate a boat, and just have the same kind of fun that you have. Share your boat: with the less fortunate, and with those who would like to be co-owners.
